Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • When you try to set properties of an ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) recordset by using some Visual Basic code in an Access 2013 form, you receive one of the following error messages: 
    Run-time error '2455'. You entered an expression that has an invalid reference to the property UniqueTable

    The expression <event> you entered as an event property setting produced the following error: Type Mismatch (Run-Time error 13)
  • When you try to package an Access Web application, an .app file is not generated and you receive the following error message:
    An error occurred in the client while attempting to communicate with the server '[URL]'. Please contact your system administrator or technical support.

To install this hotfix package, you must have Access 2013 installed.

You do not have to restart the computer after you install this hotfix.

Registry information

Important
Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.


After you apply this hotfix, you can follow these steps to increase the time-out time when you try to package an Access Web App:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then select the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Access\Settings\
  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  4. Type AccWebSaveAsPackageTimeout, and then press Enter.
  5. In the Details pane, right-click AccWebSaveAsPackageTimeout, and then click Modify.
  6. In the Value data box, type 120000 or a higher value, and then click OK.
  7. Exit Registry Editor.
