Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Activity Feeds (1.0.1.20302) not working in Internet Explorer 10

Symptoms

When using Internet Explorer 10 and clicking on the “What’s New” section under Workplace in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Rollup 12 or later, the page remains in a loading state and never completes.

Cause

The incorrect version of the Activity Feeds solution is installed.  In order to use Internet Explorer 10 with Activity Feeds, the version must be no lower than 1.0.3.21214.

Resolution

Upgrade to the latest version of the Activity Feeds solution. The latest version of Activity Feeds can be found in the CRM Program Files at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Setup\Serviceability\Latest\Actions_Org\Install\Solutions\.  The file name is ActivityFeeds.cab.
