Stretch or pinch touch gestures in the Windows 8 Store Photo app may not be centered

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a Windows 8 PC with multi-touch capability.
  • You open the Windows 8 Store Photo app to view a photo.
  • You use two fingers to stretch or pinch zoom to zoom in or out on the photo.
In this scenario, the photo may not stay centered at the point where you started the stretch or pinch zoom.

Cause

Microsoft has identified this as a known issue in current versions of the Windows 8 Store Photos app.

This issue will be resolved in a future release of the Windows 8 store Photos application.
