INTRODUCTION

This article describes that a country-specific update is available to comply with the Russian legislation requirements of customer return restrictions in a retail store in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.

More Information

According to the Russian legislation, the following restrictions are imposed by regulation on customer returns in retail stores in Russia:
  • It is not allowed to process a customer return through a POS and fiscal printer, if the return is related to another shift.
  • It is not allowed to return items from some specific item groups such as drugs, underwear, and so on.
To use this new feature, follow these steps:
  1. Set the Return during different shift and Allow return of non-returnable items permission groups under the following location:
    Retail/ Setup/ POS/ Permission groups
  2. If necessary, change the described parameters for specific workers under the following locations:
    Retail/ Common/ Workers setup on Retail/ POS permissions
  3. Set the Disallow item return property for Retail product hierarchy under the following location:
    Retail /Setup/ Category hierarchies/ Retail product hierarchy, on the Retail product properties tab
    And, run the Update product operation located on the current form, or run the Mass update worksheet periodic operation under the following location:
    Retail/ Periodic/ Mass update worksheet
  4. If necessary, set the Disallow item return property for specific released products under the following location:
    Product information management/ Common/ Released products, on the Retail tab
  5. Run the Synch Service Jobs.
  6. Find the receipt to return in POS. If the user has permission to return non-returnable items, the new column, Non-returnable item, on the Return item dialog box will display flag for non-returnable item. According to the user permission, the system will allow or disallow the return of non-returnable item.
  7. During the return processing, the system will check that the current shift and the register are equal to original receipt shift and the register. According to the user permission, the system will allow or disallow the return in POS.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this hotfix.
