FP2002: Home Page Link on Link Bar Defaults to First Link

Symptoms

When you click to select the Home page and/or Parent page check box in the Link Bar Properties dialog box, the link or links are added in front of all other links on the link bar. There is no way of adjusting the order of appearance.

Cause

This behavior occurs because Microsoft FrontPage automatically adds the Home and Parent page links to the beginning of the link bar when those check boxes are selected.

Workaround

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
1.Start FrontPage, and then open your web.
2.Open a page with the link bar, and then right-click the link bar.
3.Select Link Bar Properties on the shortcut menu.
4.On the General tab, click to clear the Home page and/or Parent page check boxes.
5.Click Add link, select the Home or Parent page, change the text in the Text to display box if you need to, and then click OK.
6.Click Move up or Move down as necessary.
