FIX: Sequence changes for a virtual catalog are not included in an incremental catalog export in Commerce Server 2009 R2

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You change the sequence of products, categories, or variants for a virtual catalog in Catalog Manager in a Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 R2 environment. When you run an incremental catalog export and select the Export as virtual catalog option, the sequence changes that you made are not included in the export.

Note Typically, this problem occurs when the properties of the catalog items are not changed and only the sequence of the catalog items is changed. In this situation, the LastModified database column for the catalog items is not updated, and its contents are not included in the incremental export.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, take the following actions:
  • For existing catalog databases, run the KB2851530.sql script file against each database.
  • For new catalog databases, run the Cs2009r2sp1-kb2851530-x86.exe file. This updates the Catalogcreate.sql file for Commerce Server 2009 R2.
Note These files are included in the hotfix that is described in the following section.
