Issues that are fixed by this update

Issue 1

You set a value for the PNPThreadPrio256 subkey in the following registry location on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager

When a storage device is mounted, the value that you set is not applied to the child thread that is created by the PNP thread.

Issue 2

Consider the following scenario:
  • You run an application on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device.
  • The application contains a thread that calls a file system API such as the ReadFile API function on a storage device.
  • Another thread calls the DismountPartition function to un-mount the same storage device at the same time.

In this scenario, a deadlock condition occurs.
