FIX: A two-phase-commit transaction fails in a Host Integration Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

You run a two-phase-commit transaction in a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010 environment. When you use the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2, the transaction may fail intermittently, and you receive the following error message:

"An internal network library as occurred". SQLSTATE: HY000: SQL CODE: -379

Cause

This problem occurs because the Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 begins the request correlation identifier by using zero (0).

According to IBM specifications, the identifier should be a positive nonzero value.

Resolution

Cumulative update information
