You are not prompted to save your password when you sign in to an email service on a website in Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You use Internet Explorer 10 on a computer that is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.
  • You browse to a website that provides an email service. 
  • You enter your user name and your password to sign in to the email service.

In this scenario, you are not prompted to save the password as expected.
