How to sign in to HealthVault for Windows by using an existing account

View products that this article applies to.

Summary

Like other Microsoft Store apps, HealthVault for Windows automatically uses the Microsoft account that you used to signed in to Windows. This helps deliver a seamless and quick sign-in experience.

If you usually sign in to your existing Microsoft HealthVault account by using Facebook, OpenID, or a different Microsoft account than you use with Windows, you have to add the ability to sign in to your HealthVault account by using the same Microsoft account that you use to sign in to Windows.

Heres how to add a second way to sign in to your HealthVault account. It's quick and easy.

  1. Sign in to your HealthVault account at one of the following websites:
    account.healthvault.com (United States)
    account.healthvault.co.uk (other countries)
  2. Click Your account.
  3. In the Sign-in information section, click Add or edit sign-in information, and then click Microsoft account.
  4. Sign in to the Microsoft account that you use with Windows.
You can now sign in on the web by using any of the sign-in credentials that are listed for your account. On Windows, you will be seamlessly signed in to HealthVault for Windows when you start the app.
