  • Update 2681358 is applied to Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 3.0.
  • The IBM DB2 tables contain columns that use the DB2 GRAPHIC data type.

In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following:

Msg 7347, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
OLE DB provider 'DB2OLEDB' for linked server 'linked_server_name' returned data that does not match expected data length for column 'column_name'. The (maximum) expected data length is xx, while the returned data length is yy.
