Visual Studio 2012 may crash if launched while installing a Visual Studio Product Update

Cause

The cause is a race condition between Visual Studio launching and Visual Studio update completing

Resolution

Wait until Visual Studio Update has completed and reboot as required. If Visual Studio fails to launch, repair the product from the Programs and Features applet in the Control Panel
