Consider the following scenario:
After selecting either Restore or Cancel, Windows Automatic Repair will initiate a System File Integrity check. The System File Integrity check may take several minutes to complete (5 - 15 minutes). During this time, Windows will display the logo screen without any messages or a progress indicator. Windows should not be rebooted during this process.
- Windows 7 or Windows 8 fails two consecutive boot attempts, triggering Automatic Repair.
- A System Restore Point is available.
- Automatic Repair prompts the user to select either Restore or Cancel.
