This article lists the issues that are fixed in Update Rollup 2 for Windows Server 2012 Essentials.

Important This update rollup contains server-side fixes. After you apply this update rollup, the client-side package is installed automatically on all client computers. The Update Rollup 2 client-side package is same as the Update Rollup 1 client-side package (2781268).

Major issues that are resolved by this update

Issue 1

Assume that you have the Microsoft Office 365 Integration feature enabled on a Windows Server 2012 Essentials-based computer. After you install update 2781267, and then restart the server, the Office 365 integration service crashes.

Issue 2

Assume that you install update 2781267 on a Windows Server 2012 Essentials-based computer. When you change the user access level or folder permissions in the User Properties dialog box, a warning dialog box appears, and the operation fails.

Issue 3

After you install update 2781267, you cannot enable Office 365 by using the following Windows PowerShell cmdlet:
Enable-O365Integration

How to uninstall Update Rollup 2 Beta

If you have Update Rollup 2 for Windows Server 2012 Essentials Beta installed, you must uninstall it before you install Update Rollup 2 for Windows Server 2012 Essentials. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Programs and Features item in Control Panel.
  2. Click View installed updates.
  3. In the Installed Updates list, locate and then uninstall Update Rollup 2824160.
  4. Make sure that Update Rollup 2 for Windows Server 2012 Essentials Beta is uninstalled successfully.
  5. Log on to the client computer, open Control Panel, and then follow steps 1 through 4 to uninstall Update Rollup 2824160.
