Summary

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a Windows 8 PC with an integrated mobile broadband device.
  • You insert a SIM card into the PC to connect to your mobile broadband network.
  • You do not have an Ethernet cable connected to the PC.
  • You let the PC enter sleep (S3) and then later wake up the PC.
In this scenario, when the PC is resuming from sleep, the network icon in the notification area may briefly display incorrect connection types (such as Ethernet or Wi-Fi) before correctly displaying the Mobile Broadband connection icon again.
