In Windows 8, how do you solve the "The page failed to load" or "0xc00d1198" error messages that appear on the live tile application?

You will encounter this issue if you upgraded your Windows 7 to Windows 8 and kept the network connection established in Windows 7. Please remove the previous network connection settings according to the following steps: First, please enter Control Panel  in the Modern UI screen, and then click Control Panel.





Click Network and Internet.





Then, click Network and Sharing Center.





Next, please click Change Adapter Settings.





Please locate the network connection you have set up in Windows 7, right-click on it, and click Delete, then click Yes.








Lastly, please return to Network and Sharing Center, click Set up a new connection or network, and set up a new connection according to the tips provided. You will then be able to browse the internet with the new connection setttings.
