This article describes a servicing stack update that is available for Windows RT and Windows 8. This update contains the following improvements and fixes the following issues:
Note You can use the installer to update the signature database (DB) or revoked signatures database (DBX).
Note Windows uses the REG_MULTI_SZ_APPEND feature to implement all the device solutions for MPIO products.

Enables servicing stack updates to be installed offline.Improvement 2
Adds a feature that compresses unused binary files and allocates free disk space to prepare Windows for future updates.Improvement 3
Adds a feature that automatically frees disk space when you uninstall updates, such as driver packages.Improvement 4

The installer in the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) firmware does not work correctly.Note You can use the installer to update the signature database (DB) or revoked signatures database (DBX).
Issue 2
The Disk Cleanup Wizard does not accurately report how much disk space will be freed when you run the cleanup process.Issue 3
Consider the following scenario:- You install a language pack, such as the Spanish language pack, on a server.
- You restart the server.
- You install update 2779768.
- You uninstall the language pack. However, you do not restart the server.
- You try to install update 2770917.

Issue 4
When you try to install some updates, the updates are not installed, and you receive the following error message:0x80073718: ERROR_SXS_FILE_NOT_PART_OF_ASSEMBLY.
Issue 5
The Deep Clean feature replaces the LDR versions of the component files that are targeted by this update with the GDR versions of the files. This may cause issues if Windows refers only to LDR packages.Issue 6
The Inbox Corruption Repair feature cannot repair a corrupted update for a certain structure. When this issue occurs, you may receive error codes 0x800f081f (CBS_E_SOURCE_MISSING) and 0x800f0906 (CBS_E_DOWNLOAD_FAILURE).Issue 7
Only the first supported device that is listed under the REG_MULTI_SZ_APPEND feature is recognized. This issue occurs after you install update 2779768.Note Windows uses the REG_MULTI_SZ_APPEND feature to implement all the device solutions for MPIO products.
