More information

This error occurs because you configured the target Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 computer to use the LDAP protocol on port 389. To prevent the error and successfully install the SRS, complete one of the following steps:
  • Change the LDAP protocol on the Exchange Server computer that you selected when you tried to configure the new SRS to use port 379. In the Microsoft Exchange Server Administrator program, you can configure the LDAP protocol at the site level by using the LDAP (Directory) Site Defaults object or at the server level by using the LDAP (Directory) Settings object. If you configure the LDAP protocol at the server level, disable the Use site defaults for all properties option so that it does not inherit the property settings from the site-level LDAP protocol object.

    -or-
  • Use an existing SRS server in the same admin group because the SRS always accepts LDAP connections on port 379.
