This diagnostic collects information from a Microsoft Dynamics NAV Three-Tier environment.

More Information

The diagnostic determines Service Principle Names that are registered within the environment and checks if there are duplicates. Also, the diagnostic collects application and system event logs for the last 7 days.  

Information Collected


NAV Service - CustomSettings.config
DescriptionFile name
ervice configuration files for the NAV service. If there are multiple services found the configuration files will be collected for each service.
{ServiceName}_CustomSettings.config

NAV Service FileList
DescriptionFile name
ontains information about the files in the NST directory.
{ServiceName}_FileList.txt

Setspn-L = List SPNs registered to target account
DescriptionFile name
Registered SPNs for the target account
{ComputerName}_SPN.txt

Setspn-x = Search for duplicate SPNs

Search results for duplicate SPNs found

WMI Nav Service info
DescriptionFile name
WMI information about the NAV service

In addition to collecting the information described above, this diagnostic package also can detect one or more of the following symptoms:

  • SPN duplicates
