FIX: Out-of-memory dialog box is hidden by other application windows on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device

Symptoms

When an out-of-memory error occurs on a Windows Embedded Compact 7–based device, the out-of-memory dialog box is hidden by other application windows under certain circumstances. Because the out-of-memory dialog box has the focus, this causes the application windows in front of it to freeze. This gives the appearance of the device not responding to the application windows in the foreground.

  • On the Build menu, click Clean Solution, and then click Build Solution.
  • On the Build menu, click Rebuild Solution.
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
