An update that enables users to control whether video is cropped is available for Lync 2013

Introduction

This article describes an update that enables users to control whether video output is cropped to a square shape in conference calls. After the update is installed, a Crop and center my video in meetings option is added under the Video settings sub-category on the Video Device tab in the Options dialog box. You can control how video is displayed to other users in conference calls by changing this option.

Notes
  • By default, the option is selected.
  • If you apply this option during a conference call, the option does not take effect until the next call.
  • his setting applies only to conference calls. After you apply the setting, the video is cropped during the camera selection process and throughout the conference call.
