To replace the missing or damaged sldshow.xsl file, extract it from the FrontPage CD-ROM. To do this, follow these steps.
NOTE: The same steps apply for each Photo Gallery layout. Instead of Slideshow.xsl, use the name of the *.xsl file that you need to replace.
- On the Start menu, point to Programs, and then point to Accessories.
- Point to System Tools, and then click System Information.
- On the Tools menu, click System File Checker.
- In the Select an option and click Start option group, click Extract one file from installation disk.
- In the Specify the system file you would like to restore box, type the following:
sldshow.xsl
- Click Start.
- In the Restore from box, type the following
CDRomDriveLetter:
where CDRomDriveLetter is the drive where the FrontPage CD-ROM is located. - In the Save file in edit text box, type the following
DriveLetter:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Templates\1033\Webs\album.wiz\slideshow\
where DriveLetter is the drive where FrontPage is installed. - If you are prompted to create a backup directory for the file that is being replaced, click OK to accept the default path for the backup directory. If you are prompted to create the directory, click Yes.
- After the file is extracted, a dialog box with the following message is displayed:
The file has been successfully extracted.
Click OK, and then click Close.
