Symptoms

When you open a Microsoft Access form that has the AllowEdits property set to No (False), the Save Record menu is unavailable (is dimmed).

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 2.

Access 2000 only looks at the AllowEdits property when making this determination, when it should be looking at both the AllowEdits and the AllowAdditions properties.
