Unknown device may be listed on systems with GPIO support

Symptoms

On a Windows 8 or Windows RT system which has support for General-Purpose I/O (GPIO), you may notice that the following device is listed under "Unknown devices" in Device Manager:

{30ebfbf8-df5f-4d4d-9fc5-a26c7fd1df4a}\GPIO_Buttons

This device only appears when you choose "View" > "Show hidden devices" in Device Manager.

Cause

This device is intentionally created by the "GPIO Button Driver" (msgpiowin32.sys).
