FIX: Pipeline on receive locations reverts to pass-through after you update the schema assembly in BizTalk Server 2010 or in BizTalk Server 2013

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a BizTalk application in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 or in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013.
  • There are multiple orchestrations that use the same receive location in the application. Additionally, the orchestrations are in multiple assemblies that refer to another common assembly.
  • You set the receive locations to use the XMLReceive pipeline or a custom receive pipeline.
  • You update the common assembly.
In this scenario, the receive locations are reset to use PassThruReceive pipeline.

Note The XMLReceive pipeline and the PassThruReceive pipeline are the default receive pipelines included in BizTalk Server.
