Errors in OWA or you cannot download the OAB in an Exchange Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

You experience the following issues in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 environment.

Issue 1

Assume that you try to move or delete an email message or that you click hyperlinks in Outlook Web App (OWA). In this situation, you receive the following error message:
An unexpected error occurred and your request couldn't be handled.

Issue 2

When you use OWA, you experience an �HTTP Error 12031� error or a Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) error.

Issue 3

When you try to download the Offline Address Book (OAB), the download fails.

Cause

These issues occur if an HTTP redirection that is configured by IIS Manager unexpectedly redirects requestsfrom the OWA or OAB virtual directory back to the HTTP redirection.

Resolution

To resolve these issues, remove HTTP redirection from the OWA virtual directory and from the OAB virtual directory. For more information about how to remove redirection from a virtual directory and to correctly configure IIS for OWA or OAB, go to the following Microsoft website:�
