FIX: The interest that is associated with a reversed transaction is not reversed when public sector is enabled in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Symptoms

When you try to reverse a customer transaction, the interest that is associated with the transaction is not reversed when public sector is enabled in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.

Cause

This error occurs because the transaction reversal process expects a billing classification value to be set on all the customer transactions for which interest has been posted without accounting for the billing classification parameter. The billing classification parameter was introduced in Dynamics AX 2012 R2, and makes the use of billing classifications optional when the public sector license is enabled.

Prerequisites

You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this hotfix.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method name that contains the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by viewing the KBxxxxxx.txt file against the objects in the AOT. Therefore, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.

Note KBxxxxxx.txt is a placeholder for the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
