A country-specific update is available to add the caution of penalty to the invoice printing form in France in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

From January 1, 2013, two new provisions to fight against late payments between professionals are effective. One provision creates a new compulsory indication on the invoices, and the other provision adds a lump sum of 40 euros to be paid to the creditor for late payments.

You must mention the amount of the lump sum to cover expenses on the face of payable invoices before the due date. The mention of the new penalty should be displayed in the terms of payments section that is located at the foot of the invoice.
The penalty will be payable without the need for a reminder.
To comply with this change, a country-specific update to add the caution of penalty to the invoice printing form is available.

After you apply this update, the Lump sum recovery text and Days of grace for lump sum recovery parameters are added in the customer's invoice setup parameters in Accounts Receivable. If both of the parameters are specified, the Print lump sum recovery text check box will be selected. In this situation, when you post an invoice, the lump sum recovery text will be printed in the invoice footer.
Additionally, the Print lump sum recovery text check box can also be edited in the Invoice journal dialog box.
To calculate the penalties for past due payments the standard functionality AR-> Periodic-> Collections->Interest calculation should be used. The monthly rate for daily interest has to be calculated based on the annual rate given mandatory using the formula: Annual rate/ 365 X 30. The calculated result has to be entered as monthly rate (AR-> Setup->Collections-> Interest). To achieve the required accuracy of the calculation the precision of the interest value was increased up to 5 decimals.
