FIX: The debugger opens when you try to update transfer orders in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009

Symptoms

When you have many transfers (transfer orders or transfer journals) that reserve ordered inventory from each other, if you try to update one of the transfer orders, the debugger opens  and displays a path. For example, the path may be: \Classes\InventItemType\newItemType.

If you press F5 to continue in the debugger, nothing happens. In this scenario the transfer order shows the status Shipped, but does not show Received.

Cause

This issue may occur if two transfer orders are created that issue and receive transfer orders with one another. When the inventDim and reserve status change on one of the transfer transactions, the system automatically tries to update the inventory dimensions on the other transfer transactions. This causes looping and results in a deadlock. The debugger opens because ofan overflow in internal run stack.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this hotfix.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method name that contains the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by viewing the KBxxxxxx.txt file against the objects in the AOT. Therefore, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.

Note KBxxxxxx.txt is a placeholder for the KB article number of the installed hotfix.

This hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
