FIX: An electronic payment file is rejected by the bank when the SEPA payment method is used in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You use the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) payment method in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
  • You post at least two vendor invoices that include payment IDs.
  • You create a payment proposal for the vendor.
  • You generate an electronic payment (.xml) file.

In this scenario, the .xml file contains an Envelope icon and the file is rejected by the bank. You would expect the .xml file to contain the necessary vendor invoice transaction data that is needed by the bank for processing.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix affects the following objects:

 \Classes\AifMessage.xpo
 \Classes\AifMessageParts.xpo

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method name that contains the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by viewing the KBxxxxxx.txt file against the objects in the AOT. Therefore, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.

Note KBxxxxxx.txt is a placeholder for the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
