Windows 7 SP1-based or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1-based SMBv2 client computer freezes when the computer is under a heavy load

Symptoms

Assume that you have the Server Message Block version 2 (SMBv2) protocol enabled on a client computer that is running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. The client computer is under a heavy load. In this situation, the client computer freezes occasionally.

This issue occurs because of a race condition that occurs when the client computer is under a heavy load.
