Errors occur when you add a category by using the Catalog Editor in Business Desk

Symptoms

When you try to add a new category by using the Catalog Editor in the Business Desk client, you may receive the following error message:
Error Type:
Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A01A8)
Object required: '[undefined]'

Cause

The Allow Per-Session Cookies (not stored) security setting in the Microsoft Internet Explorer security properties is set to disabled.

Resolution

To enable the Internet Explorer per session cache, follow these steps:
  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the appropriate zone, and then click Custom Level.
  3. For the Allow Per-Session Cookies (not stored) option, click Enable.

Status

This behavior is by design. The Business Desk requires that per-session cookies be enabled to operate correctly.
