You receive an error message in Report Scheduler "String or binary data would be truncated" when there are many users

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics SL:

You have many users set up in Business Portal. You open Report Scheduler, enter information for the report to be scheduled, and then click Submit Request.

When you do this, you receive an error.

SubmitReportRequest failed Error info=<soap.Server:

Server was unable to process request. String or binary data would be truncated.

Resolution

Hotfix information for Microsoft Dynamics SL

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
