FIX: Access violation occurs when a SOAP client sends a request to a SOAP web service that is hosted on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

You have a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based run-time image that contains the following components:
- Web Server (HTTPD) (SYSGEN_HTTPD)
- SOAP Toolkit Server (SYSGEN_SOAPTK_SERVER)
You run the image on a device that uses symmetric multiprocessing (SMP).

Note To enable the SMP in the operating system design, set the IMG environment variable to IMGMPENABLE=1.
You configure the web server to host a SOAP web service on the device.
You send a SOAP request from a client computer to the web service.

In this scenario, an access violation may occur, and you receive an error message on the web server that resembles the following:

Exception 'Access Violation' (0xe): Thread-Id=041a0076(pth=c04ca720), Proc-Id=0528001e(pprc=c0481a00) 'servicesd.exe', VM-active=0528001e(pprc=c0481a00) 'servicesd.exe'

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
