INTRODUCTION

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

Consider the following scenario:
  • User A uses OneDrive or OneDrive for Business to synchronize an older type of workbook or a presentation (.xls or .ppt) to a SharePoint document library.
  • User A disables the Internet connection on computer A.
  • User B opens the workbook or the presentation from a web browser. User B then saves the document without making any changes.
  • User A opens the workbook or the presentation on computer A. User A then saves the document without making any changes.
  • There is a conflict for the workbook or presentation when User A re-enables Internet connection on computer A.
  • User A keeps the server version of the workbook or the presentation for the conflict.
In this scenario, although no changes were made to either the workbook or the presentation, a new renamed file is autonomously created in the document library.
