XCCC: Exchange Conference Service Does Not Upgrade from Evaluation Version to Full Version

Symptoms

When you update your Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server installation from the Release Candidate 2 (RC2) evaluation version to the release to manufacturing (RTM) version, your Exchange Conference Service may not be upgraded from the evaluation version to the full version.

Installing the Fix

  1. Upgrade your Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server installation from the RC2 version to the RTM version.
  2. Click Start, and then click Run.
  3. Click Browse, locate and click hotfix setup.dll, and then click OK.
  4. In the Run box, click OK.
  5. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  6. Click Add/Remove Programs.
  7. Click Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server, and then click Reinstall.
  8. Type the CD-ROM Key number in the CD-Key Wizard dialog box.
  9. Click Next and finish the installation.
