  • Assume that you use Word 2010 to open a Word document that is located on a SharePoint Server 2010 site. Then, you place the cursor in a comment in the document. However, when you try to check in the document, you receive the following error message:
This document cannot be checked in while the Web server copy is open. Close the Web Server copy and try again.
  • Assume that you insert a content control that has lots of text or tables in a Word 2010 document. Then, you try to edit the content in the content control by using a macro or a command. However, the operation takes a long time, and you receive a warning message that states that the next action cannot be undone. If you select to continue in this situation, Word 2010 crashes.
  • Assume that you use a Latin language as the primary input method editor (IME) in Word 2010 on a Windows 8-based computer. In this situation, keyboard shortcuts such as CTRL+A and CTRL+C do not work as expected when a non-Latin IME is active.
  • When you open a Word 2010 document that contains vertical text in a merged cell, the vertical text is not displayed. This issue occurs when one of the following conditions is true:
    • The Word document is located on a remote computer that you connect to by using an 8-bit Remote Desktop Connection (RDC).
    • You use the high contrast mode on your computer.
    • You use a screen reader to view the document.
