Issues that this hotfix package fixes
- Consider the following scenario:
- You open a Word 2013 document that contains a footnote reference inside a table.
- You click Text Direction and then click Vertical in the Page Setup section on the PAGE LAYOUT tab.
- You scroll down to the end of the document.
In this scenario, some pages after the table may not be displayed.
- Assume that you use Word 2013 to save a .docx file as an OpenDocument Format (ODF) file. However, when you open the ODF file, non-left-aligned paragraphs inside textboxes in the file are displayed incorrectly.
- Consider the following scenario:
- You open a Word document that has some shapes or pictures in Word 2013.
- You right-click one of the shapes or one of the pictures in the word document.
- You click Edit Points for the shape or you point to Wrap Text and then click Edit Wrap Points for the picture.
In this scenario, other shapes and pictures in the document are missing.
- Assume that you use Word 2013 to open a Word document that contains a macro. The macro inserts a shape into the document when you press a button. In this situation, when you touch the button to insert a shape on a Windows 8-based touch device, the shape is displayed in an incorrect location. However, if you connect a mouse to the device and then use the mouse to click the button, the shape is inserted in the correct location.
- Consider the following scenario:
- You set an East Asian language as the input method editor (IME) in Word 2013 on a Windows 8-based touch device.
- You type some characters in a new Word document.
- You touch the screen to move the cursor to a new location among these characters.
- You type a new character or you delete the character before the cursor.
In this scenario, the new character is added or the character is deleted in the previous cursor location. Therefore, the cursor location is only changed visually.
- Assume that you open a blank Word document in Word 2013, and then you open another Word document in Protected View. However, the content of the document is not displayed unless you resize the document window.
- Assume that you start Word on Demand from OneDrive on a computer that does not have Word installed. When you try to create a new Word document by using a template that contains macros, you may receive the following error message:
The macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your Macro security settings.
- You cannot put the cursor in a multicolumn footnote in the left column of a Word document. When you drag over the footnote, the cursor is displayed as arrow. Therefore, you cannot edit the footnote.
