Consider the following scenario:
In this scenario, after selecting Eject you will see a “Safe to Remove Hardware” balloon notification appear in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. If you then click on the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon in the System Tray, you will see an entry of "..." in place of the USB Removable Storage device that was ejected.
- You have a computer running Windows 8.
- You connect a USB Removable Storage device to the computer.
- From within an Explorer window, you right-click on the device or driver letter and select Eject.
