Symptoms

Assume that you have a sales tax group that has the Price incl. of tax check box selected in the Formula designer dialog box in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with the India localization layer installed. When you have some charges included in the formula, the system does not consider the charges. Therefore, the calculation of the tax base amount is incorrect. In this situation, when you post a document that uses the sales tax group, tax amounts are calculated incorrectly.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
