Summary

Exchange Server 5.5 Setup does not work when you try to add an Exchange Server 5.5 computer to an Exchange 2000 administrative group that has only Exchange 2000 servers as its members, or to an Exchange 2003 administrative group that has only Exchange 2003 servers as its members.

The error message states:
Microsoft Exchange Server Setup
The system cannot find the file specified
Microsoft Windows NT
ID no: 0xc0020002
This behavior is by design. Joining an Exchange Server 5.5 computer to a pure Exchange 2000 or Exchange 2003 administrative group is not supported.

More information

Setup stops working after you type the server name in the box to join an existing site, and then click OK.

The error box appears two times, and then Setup quits. No errors are logged in Event Viewer or in the Exchange Server Setup.log file.
