Unable to post statement for retail default locations in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Symptoms

While trying to post retail transaction’s statement we are getting error “Inventory dimension location must be specified”.

Cause

Inventdim.mslocationid is empty causing this error.

Resolution

Update has been made to the code logic.

You must have Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 installed to apply this hotfix.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
