FIX: A transaction that is submitted by Transaction Integrator in Host Integration Server 2010 fails when the "Already verified" security setting is enabled in a remote environment

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario. Transaction Integrator submits a transaction against a CICS mainframe system in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010. Additionally, you have a remote environment in which the "Already verified" security setting is enabled. In this scenario, the transaction fails, and you receive one of the following error messages:

Error message 1
HISMSNA0015 The SNATransport encountered an error calling internal method CMSCSP when processing method Invoke, LUName REMOTE01, Error = 24
Error message 2
Exception Occurred: HISMSNA0015 The SNATransport encountered an error calling internal method CMRCV when processing method GetBalance, LUName CICSSEC, Error = Provided security information is not valid.

Cause

The "Already verified" security setting requires a user ID but does not require a password. Transaction Integrator submits credentials by using the ClientContext array, and this array contains an empty password field. Therefore, you may receive one of the error messages that are mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
