Symptoms

When you click a JavaScript link within a frameset on a secure Web site, you may receive the following incorrect informational message:
This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?

Cause

This problem can be caused if Internet Explorer is unable to determine whether or not the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) connects to a secure Web site.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, obtain and install the most current service pack for Internet Explorer 5.5. For additional information about how to obtain the latest service pack forInternet Explorer 5.5, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To work around this problem, notify the administrator of the Web site to not place the URL inside a frameset.
