Secure Reference Override Failure warnings after you install Monitoring Management Pack in System Center Operations Manager in a Lync Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

Assume that you install a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Monitoring Management Pack in the System Center Operations Manager in a Lync Server 2010 environment. Additionally, the System Center Operations Manager monitors Lync Server 2010 and the Linux or UNIX servers in the environment. In this situation, you receive almost "50 Secure Reference Override Failure" warnings within 15 minutes in the Operations Manager console. Additionally, the following event is logged in the Event Viewer of all the management servers that monitor Linux or UNIX servers:

Cause

The issue occurs because the Lync Server 2010 Monitoring Management Pack runs a script on all the discovered servers, including Linux or UNIX servers. However, the script does not support Linux or UNIX servers.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, install the following cumulative update:
