An update that adds all lowercase Portuguese (Portugal) month names in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 is available

View products that this article applies to.

Introduction

This article introduces an update for the AutoComplete feature in Windows 7 and in Windows Server 2008 R2. After you install this update, definitions for the names of months in Portuguese (Portugal) that are all lowercase are added to the computer.

Currently, when you write the name of a month in Portuguese (Portugal), the AutoComplete feature suggests that you capitalize the first letter of the name of the month. However, in the Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement of 1990, the first letter of the names of days, months, and seasons should not be capitalized.
