Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You connect a Bluetooth device to a computer that is running Windows 7.
  • You put the computer to sleep or into hibernation.
  • You try to resume the computer from sleep or from hibernation.
In this scenario, the computer stops responding and you receive a Stop error that resembles the following:
Stop: 0x0000000A ( parameter1 , parameter2 , parameter3 , parameter4 )
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
This error message indicates that the issue is related to the Bthport.sys file.

This issue occurs if the following conditions are true:
  • Neither the Bluetooth device nor the Bluetooth controller returns to the active state when you resume the computer.
  • The Bthport.sys file is processing more than one connection request.

Note If there are multiple devices or if one device has more than one connection request queued, the issue does not occur.
