FIX: A memory leak occurs in Rpcrt4.dll during suspend and resume operations when a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device communicates with a remote server

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device that is communicating with a remote server on a network. For example, you run the following command on the device to ping the remote server continuously:
    ping -t remote_server_IP
Note The placeholder remote_server_IP represents the IP address of the remote server.

  • You repeatedly suspend and then resume the system on the device.

In this scenario, a memory leak occurs in the Rpcrt4.dll module.

Note To detect the memory leak on your device, run Resource Leak Detector tool.
