FIX: Visual Studio 2010 crashes when you select Set Next Statement in the Disassembly window

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 application on a computer. 
  • You set a breakpoint for the application.
  • You run the application in Visual Studio 2010.
  • The Visual Studio 2010 debugger hits the breakpoint, and you open the Disassembly window.
  • You right-click a statement in the Disassembly window, and then you select Set Next Statement.
In this scenario, Visual Studio crashes. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Visual Studio has encountered a problem and needs to close.

This issue occurs because an access violation occurs in the Visual Studio 2010 debugger.

Hotfix information
