You are disconnected from an audio conference when you try to join the conference by using Lync 2010 for iPad


Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You join an audio conference by using a Lync 2010 client. An application is shared in the conference.
  • You sign in to a Lync 2010 for iPad client.
  • You join the audio conference and accept the telephone call.
In this scenario, the Lync 2010 for iPad client is disconnected from the audio conference unexpectedly. Additionally, the Lync 2010 client is disconnected from the audio conference.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Lync 2010 for iPad client receives an event that indicates that audio has ended for the user. This event is sent when the Lync 2010 for iPad client tries to join the audio conference. Therefore, the Lync 2010 client is kicked out of the Audio Video Multipoint Conferencing Unit (AVMCU).
